Something For All Ages
The Commons Board has two primary and interrelated goals: the completion of the Commons building, and the development of service programs that will improve the quality of life for local children, youth, families and seniors.

Multi-generational programming is one of our priorities, and the new Commons facility has been designed to bring people of all ages together in productive community-building and community-oriented activities and projects.

The community living room also provides an opportunity for community members of all ages to gather for social interaction, to participate in cooking classes, live music and drama, lectures, club meetings, games, people watching and much more.

Children from strong communities grow up strong and well. Elders with well-established community relationships live longer with lower levels of illness and depression. This project is a critical step toward a progressive, inclusive, and multi-generational community that will provide concrete benefits for all residents of the south Whidbey area.
